1930SummerThe Marsh Wren made only a slightly better showing, two nests being round, the earliest containing two eggs on May 3oth (Stanley Stein·. and Leander Fischer, Shakopee), The other nest was found by Mariua MOrse ncar Robbinsdale on Juno 27th, and held four eggs,
1931SummerOne egg on June 11th (\-Joolsey); six nests on Jvne 21st with 4 -6 eggs; one nest July 7th with 6 eggs (Morse)
1932SummerEight nests were found on May 29th with contents averaging 4 eBgs (L. Fischer &s. Stein). Four nests were found on June 17th in Polk County, also with an average of 4 eggs (Evans & Risser).
1935Summer Breckenridge found 5 nests this past season. Tho first, which he saw May 2211-d, held 1 egg; the next.3, seen Ho.y 31st, held 2, 4, and 4 eges respectively; and th.e last, seen Juno 28th, held 6 eggs •. The WTiter wonders how many dozens of nests Breckenridge must have investigated t.o find 5 occupied.
1936Summer On May 31 at Robert Upson found a number of' nests and sublnitted this report: '!I located several nests, but apparently all I investigated were dummies. May be I wras th.e dummy." Risser and Rysgaard did some what better; they found four nests at Long Meadow on JWie "lth..The nests held one, one, three, and two eggs respectively, E. D. Swedenborg locate£ five unlined nests on July 5th at Lake Independ~~ce.

1938SummerUpson found a nest of 5 eggs on May 24 at Minneapolis.

1947Summer6 nests 4 with young and 2 others with 11 eggs, June 29. Lac qui T'arle. Willi~. SHORT-BILLED MARSH WREN. No date given, many present in springfed meadow, nesting, but none found, Lac qui Parle Co., Willis.
1961SpringSeen by Brother Theodore on 15 May at the Carlos Avery Game Refuge. Seen by Avifaunal Club members on 21 May near Odessa, but in Lac qui Parle County.

1998Winter Reported 1/5 Hennepin (Bass Ponds) SC. Only the sixth winter report.
1999Spring Apparently arrived later than usual south and north. Only one April report (4/25 Meeker DF), followed by reports from five south counties on 5/8. Early north 5/8 Morrison MJ/DT, 5/14 Clay RO.
1999Summer Seen in 33 counties as far northeast as a line through Roseau, Beltrami, Carlton. First breeding record for Lyon RJS. [Corrected]
1999Fall Departed the north one month ahead of the recent median departure date, except for one straggler 10/31 Cook KE which tied the second latest date north. Many south reports through the first week of October, then only 10/12 Renville CMa, 10/17 Chippewa ABo.
1999Winter Reported 12/3 Goodhue (2 at Frontenac) KB, and 1/16 Hennepin (MRVNWR) TT. The seventh and eighth winter reports.
2000Spring Reported from 22 south and 12 north counties statewide, but only St. Louis in northeast. Early south 3/24 (second earliest date) Steele (Rice Lake S. P.) †CGj, then no reports until more than one month later! This may have been a previously undiscovered wintering bird. Next seen 4/26 Meeker DF, then daily arrivals 5/3–7. Early north 5/6 Marshall JJ, then 5/8, 5/15.
2000Summer Most reports since 1982. Observed in 41 counties in all regions except southeast.
2000Fall Two north reports in mid-September, then none reported until 10/15 Norman CMN, 10/16 Aitkin CLB. In the south, reported frequently into mid-October, but the latest were observed by SLC in Hennepin during November: 11/1 Wood Lake and 11/7 (2) Bass Ponds.
2001Spring Reported from 21 south and 12 north counties statewide, but only St. Louis in Northeast. Arrived on time. Early south 4/26 Houston, Meeker and Dakota. Early north 5/5 Clay RHO, then many reports 5/12–17.
2001Summer Reported in 28 counties in all regions except Southwest (and only Carlton in Northeast); new nesting record in Crow Wing JS, MN.
2001Fall Reported from four north counties, including three in Northwest. Late north 9/17 Kittson BRB, 10/13 Clay RHO. South reports widespread, through 10/23 Hennepin SLC and Jackson CRM, 11/2 Lyon RJS.
