1934Summer Kenneth Carlander found a vcr;r intercstin~ nest of this species on May 19th. On that date it contained 11 eggs, althourh this bird usually lays only 4 to 6. On Juno 3rc1 this nest wn.s seen again by Carlandcr and DuToit ancl found to contain only 9 eggs. Although the incubation period for this bird is supposed to be 12 to 14 days (Forbush), the second visit to the nest was 15 days after tho first and yet there were no young in the nest.
