1930SummerFour nests were reported, the earliest by Alden Risser at Frontenac on June 21st, on which a bird was apparently brooding; the latest by Ralph Woolsey, at Shakopee, on July 31st, containing three well-developed young. Gustav Swanson found a finished but empty nest at Deer River on June 17thth and the writer saw one at Ely on June 22nd, containing eggs,

1932SummerA nest with 3 eggs wns found by the writer~ June 24th. The last contc.incd 4 young on Au~:;ust 18th (Horse).
1933Summer Eight nests found. The first was found near st. Cloud on June 19th by Hicmenz. It held 1 fresh egg, a.nd when next seen on the 25th the number had been increased to 5. Risser discovered tho last.nest, which was found near Sturgeon Lake on July 5th. The contents 1.rere 3 eggs • The Flicker, 1933
1934Summer A nest with one ogg, found near St. Cloud on June 19th by Hienenz, wo.s the earliest occupied nest reported. Eisele found the latest nest, containing 4 eggs, at Itasca Pork on July 27th.
1935Summer Two Cedar Waxwings completed a nest at Sturgeon Lake June 20th according to Rysgaard. And Prosser and Swedenborg tell us that another pair of birds had 3 eggs in their nest at Caribou Lake by June 23rd. · '
1936Summer In Pine County on June 11th Arnold Erickson so.w adults building. E. D. Swedenborg found a completed but empty nost nt Caribou Lc~e on June 21st. Construction of a nest was begun at Sturgeon Lake on July 7th as reported by G. Rysgaard. Tho first and only nest with eggs reported was that found July 29th by Paul Highby at Aurora. The contents were four eggs.
1937SummerOn June 25 a cedar birJ was seen incubating by Mrs. C. E. Peterson, at Dassel. Mr. E. D. Swedenborg found large young in a nest near Finland on July 20.
1938SummerM i l ton Thompson saw 4 birds incubating and one pair building one June 9 near Milaca. Near Brule River, Cook County, Mr. Swedenborg found a nest holding 4 larg~ young on August 15.
1940SummerThe Duluth area dominated the reports of the species: R. Norman, M. Laakso, Mrs. Olin, Dr. Lakela and H. Engstrom found nests. R. M. Berthel found a nest at Grand Portage, Cook Co., on August 13· The author observed several nesting pairs in tall Norway Pines at Sand Lake, Minne­sota on June 30.

1964Summerbreeding Crow Wing (ELC), Beltrami (JAM), St. Louis (DM), Houston (GG) and Hubbard (ACR, LWJ) Counties.
1964WinterNumerous reports from SE Minn (N. to Washington, Hennepin, Anoka Co's) from late Dec to present, all small flocks or individuals except 93 on the Afton XC. A few wintered at Duluth and on 2-12 JCG noted 200 there. RK noted 2 at Two Harbors from 1-25 to 2-11. In late Feb, very noticeable northward movements took place. JO noted 100 in Washington Co on 2-27, EMB counted 300 in Minneapolis on about 2-27, and a few appeared in Wright (EC), Stearns (RPR), Kanabec (RHJ) and Cook (MOP) Co's. Only records from western Minn were a few on the Willmar and Fargo-Moorhead XC's.

Record count 8/29 St. Louis (12,612, H.R.B.O., 11,661 of these from the Lester River location, CRu, KJB). Other notable Duluth counts: 8/28 (3,291) CRu, 8/30 (3,102) CRu, 8/30 (1,566 in 2 hours) PHS. H.R.B.O season total 35,041. Present both north and south at the end of the season.
