1965Springreported by 7 observers; Winona, 5-16, FGD, KK; Goodhue Co, 5-15(FL), 5-19(EWJ) and 5-25 (RDT); Nicollet Co, 5-15, MHM; Cokato, 5-17, EC; westward strays are noteworthy. Golden-winged X Blue-winged Hybrids: these were the "talk of the Season" this Spring, and were also noted in Wisconsin; the most frequently occurring hybrid, "Brewster's Warbler", was reported on 5-11 Frontenac, DB, 5-18 Hennepin Co, EMB and 5-20 Minneapolis FN; the less frequently occurring "Lawrence's Warbler" was reported 5-16 Vasa, Jo Herz, 5-23 Vasa, BDC, 5-25 Goodhue Co (Vasa?), RDT, 5-29 Frontenac, RBJ and 6-3 Vasa fide FN; The reports from Vasa were all undoubtedly of the same bird; prior to this year there were, I believe, two Minnesota records for the "Lawrence's" and four records for the

1966Summerseen all summer at Vasa, Goodhue Co by many observers. Blue-winged x Golden-winged Warbler December, 1966 hybrid: 6-12 Vasa, Goodhue Co, VL reports "Bird singing in tree top, saw it briefly, head and underparts all yellow, black markings of the golden-winged; wing bars; song three short buzzes, one longer and on different pitch;" on 6-25 DB saw what was apparently the same bird in the same place; description fits the phenotype commonly known as the "Lawrence's Warbler."

1997Summer Most reports ever, continuing a seven-year trend showing a gradual increase. Probable nesting recorded in Rice; observed in 15 additional counties as far north as Sherburne and Chisago and as far west as Brown; plus 6/3 Lyon (Camden S. P.) RgS, 6/3 Lincoln (Hole-in-the-Mountain C.P.) RJS. [Corrected]
1997Fall Late south 9/5 Washington RJ, 9/10 Fillmore NO, 9/28 (latest date on record) Houston EMF. “Brewster's Warbler” reported 10/14 (this would be an extremely late for either of the two parent species) St. Louis AE.
1998Spring Early south 4/20 (earliest date on record) Rice CGj, 5/6 Houston EMF and Washington RJ. Only north report: 5/25 Douglas (two males on territory at Lake Carlos State Park) SDM.
1998Summer New nesting in Brown JSp; probable nesting in Rice, Houston. Seen in ten additional east central and southeast counties plus Scott, Nicollet; also 6/19 Cass DZ, 6/26 Douglas RJ (both first county records, the latter was first found in May). Of interest was a partial albino observed in Winona AH.
1998Fall Late south 8/27 Houston (2) FL, 8/30 Rice JL, 9/13 Houston (1) EMF.
1999Spring Arrived south on time, where first reported 5/1 Fillmore NO, AO, 5/2 Rice JL and Hennepin SC. Reported from 23 south counties as far west as Kandiyohi and Brown; more reports than usual. First county record 5/13 Meeker DF. Only north report: 5/30 Morrison (Camp Ripley) WB.
1999Summer Seen in eleven counties roughly along a line from Anoka and Hennepin to Fillmore and Houston; plus 6/12 Jackson DN, 7/3–20 Brown (“Lawrence's” hybrid) JSp, 6/2–7 Todd JSK, SDu.
1999Fall No north reports. Late south 8/29 Brown JSp and Rice TBo, 9/3 Fillmore NO, 9/6 Dakota SWe — earliest south departure since 1991.
2000Spring Reported from 19 south counties, including first county records 5/3 Pipestone (Split Rock Creek S. P.) ND, 5/7 McLeod (Hutchinson) †DF. Early south 5/2 in three counties, then daily arrivals through 5/8. Only reports in the north: 5/15 Douglas RH, 5/30 Clay (Moorhead) †RO (The Loon 72:241).
2000Summer Reported in ten counties within an area extending from Fillmore and Houston to Carver and Anoka; plus Nicollet, Brown, Blue Earth, 6/22 Renville KJB, 7/27 Kandiyohi †CRM. Lawrence's hybrid singing 6/4–22 Brown (Flandrau S.P.) JSp.
2000Fall All reports were south and east of a line from Anoka through Brown. Last reported 9/9 Dakota ADS, 9/25 Fillmore NBO.
2001Spring Reported from 23 south counties, including unexpected location 5/6 Cottonwood ED and first county record 5/12 Yellow Medicine RJS. Many late April reports south (recent median 5/2). Early south 4/28 Rice TFB, 4/29 Dakota, Fillmore, and Winona, 4/30 in three counties. All reports north: 5/10 (record early north) Douglas SPM, 5/16 Kanabec CAM.
2001Summer Reported in 14 counties extending from Fillmore and Houston to Meeker, Sherburne, and Anoka; plus Blue Earth, Nicollet, Brown. “Lawrence's” Warbler reported in Brown (male?) JSS; “Brewster’s” Warbler observed 6/23 Sherburne RBJ. [Corrected]

2002Spring Observed in 23 south counties beginning 5/3 Olmsted OWB, 5/4 Dakota ADS, TAT and Goodhue OWB. Unusual location 5/5 Lac qui Parle (Big Stone N.W.R.) †PHS, †PCC. First county record 5/15 Pope (Barness Park, Glenwood) †SPM, DKM. Record high count 5/14 Houston (16 at Beaver Creek Valley S.P.) PHS.
2002Summer Seen in 11 Southeast and East-central counties as far north as Isanti; plus Todd, Wright, Carver, Scott, Rice, Blue Earth. “Brewster's” hybrid 6/2 Washington (male) TAT, 6/22 Anoka JLH.
2002Fall Second county record 9/11 St. Louis (banded at Hawk Ridge) DAG. Reported south in September only from Washington and Hennepin; late south 9/14 Hennepin TAT.
