It takes a couple game manage~s to find tho first nests of this forest-dwelling bird. Dohic ferreted cut a nest with 13 eggs near Park l1apids May 23rd and Horse discovered the second nest of tho year on May 27th~ It contained 8 eggs, and was under a fire-charred log in a young aspen stand in the Cloquet Valley Forest. The Mobles. saw young out of the nest at Lake Pokegama on ~~e 24th. Prosser and Swedenborg saw 4 families vTith small young from June 23rd ·:. to June 27th in the Caribou Lake region. | ||
