Three birds seen as fly-overs in early March would have been a record early date by more than two weeks, suggesting thorough documentation was needed. The description of a small goose was simply too brief and MOURC concluded it was insufficient to rule out several more expected species. Alternative identification consideration was only given to Sandhill Crane and Canada Goose, but not more likely species such as Cackling Goose or other similarsized waterfowl.
