Five or fewer records in Lake County for the Spring season
11/10/06, This Townsends Solitaire was observed for no less than 45 minutes as it foraged, eating berries and (flycatching) for beatles on the ground, and interacting with a pair of downy woodpeckers (briefly). It was discovered at Lighthouse Point in Two Harbors on the same trail that many blackbacked and threetoed woodpeckers have been seen recently. In fact, while observing this bird, there were at least three male threetoeds, and one gray jay observed in the near vicinity! Two Harbors rocks! (recently anyway:)
