'Casual' in Minnesota - Five or fewer records in St. Louis County for the Fall season

Here is the third-cycle Slaty-backed Gull perched on the Canal Park breakwall where it allowed observers to walk right up to it. On this perched bird,note the pale eye, slate-colored back, very dark pink legs, and very wide tertial crescent, and head streaking concentrated behind the eye. This individual was initially found by myself, Jane Hosking, and Sarah Glesner on 28 October, but until today had only been reported one other date during the intervening month
