Peregrine Falcon in Lake County

Common in Lake County in the Fall season

Juvenile at the former MN DOT garage ponds along Hwy 61 just NE of Silver Bay, which probably fledged from a North Shore nest in the vicinity. Note color leg bands which were difficult to read due to the poor light conditions and the bird's wariness making it difficult to approach. Probably a female due to its apparently large size, although nothing else present for direct size comparison.
