Probable pair of Ross's Goose seen at Sunnyside Pond on Sunnyside Road NE Bemidji which pond lies between Power Dam Rd. and Mill St. NE. Seen initially on Tuesday and both were still present yesterday when seen by Pat Rice. Apparent first Spring record for Beltrami County, but long expected. Short neck, rounded head, gray base of bill and bill length and height relatively the same all suggest that the bird is not a hybrid Snow Goose. The other bird has a less rounded head and a bit longer bill.
