Snow Goose in Cook County

Occasional in Cook County in the Spring season

This solitary dark morph/"blue goose" Snow Goose landed in the grass along the Grand Marais harbor. He flew out in the bay over the ice and proceeded to drink water for at least a few minutes. He flew back to the same spot and tucked his head into his back and neck feathers and took a nap... I think a very tired bird.
