Lesser Black-backed Gull in Pope County

'Rare Regular' in Minnesota - Five or fewer records in Pope County for the Summer season

This juvenile gull was seen by the MBW group last Friday in Glenwood on the shore of Lake Minnewaska along with a flock of Ring-billed Gulls. My apologies for not posting it earlier. We misidentified it at the time as a Herring Gull. Thanks to Bruce Fall for catching it in the photo that I included on my eBird list for the location. I posted some photos on the North American Gulls Facebook page today, and the larophiles there identified it as a first summer LBBG.
