First record for Cook County

Northern Bobwhite (Colinus virginianus) found by Anthony Hertzel and Peder Svingen at Grand Marais, Cook County, 1 November 2014. Now considered extirpated in Minnesota and presumably an escaped / released bird, it was still fun to watch "Bob" forage and occasionally call out for Betty.
