Harlequin Duck in St. Louis County

'Rare Regular' in Minnesota

Dudley Edmundson found this Harlequin Duck (female/imm type) along the entry in Canal Park in Duluth, MN at about 1:30 p.m. I met up with Dudley and was able to make some quick photographs as the duck flew west and landed under the Ariel Lift Bridge. This is the 3rd Harlequin Duck that has shown up this fall in the Duluth / Superior Area. ( 2 Harlequin Ducks were observed at the Superior Entry by Andy Birch and I and this lone Harlequin Duck was discovered by Dudley Edmundson )
