Sabine's Gull in Beltrami County

'Rare Regular' in Minnesota - Five or fewer records in Beltrami County for the Fall season

There were two Sabine's Gulls on Lake Bemidji, right north of Diamond Point, this afternoon. Douglas Johnson initially observed the first gull around noon, and it was still there when I looked at 2 PM. I'd been watching the gull for an hour or so when another Sabine's Gull appeared. These two gulls were much more active than the 400+ Ring-billed Gulls that were also on the lake. All the gulls were quite far out.
