American Golden-Plover in Steele County

Uncommon in Steele County in the Fall season

A few of the American Golden-Plovers in the fields along 84th Ave. in Steele County. Dave Bartkey, who was with me at the time, counted over 700, and he thought that was a conservative number. Also present were at least 15 Buff-breasted Sandpipers and small numbers of other shorebirds.
