Cooper's Hawk in Nicollet County

Common in Nicollet County in the Fall season

One of two Cooper's Hawks (previously thought to be Red-shouldered Hawks) possibly nesting in my backyard. I never got a good look at either hawk until this evening when they were soaring about my house. After observing the long tail and wings and the overall lankiness of the birds, it became clear that they were Cooper's Hawks. This is the adult bird.
