Piping Plover in St. Louis County

'Rare Regular' in Minnesota

Tom Auer found this Piping Plover on the lake side beach between the dune bridge and Sky Harbor Airport on Park Point. The plover had many color bands on its legs. A dark blue band on the right leg, a light blue band on the left leg and a multi color band of orange and black on the right leg above the light blue band and a orange flag type band on the right leg. I have no idea who banded the plover and what project this bird was part of but it was really nice to observe a Piping Plover on Park Point again.
