This Blue-winged x Cinnamom Teal hybrid adult is being seen at the SW intersection of MN 56 and Scotia Trail in Goodhue Co. It is an obvious hybrid as the faded crescent on the side of the face can be seen, a white hip-patch, and the underlying patterened and spotted sides all characteristics of the Blue-winged which a pure Cinnamon Teal would not exhibit. The characteristics it shares with the Cinnamon Teal are the red irides, cinnamon coloring and size as shown in this side by side comparison of the two Teal together.
