Ross's Goose in Hennepin County

Occasional in Hennepin County in the Spring season

This afternoon around 3 I observed a Ross's Goose on Long Meadow Lake at the Bass Ponds. It was a small all clean white goose with a round head similar in size to a Mallard. It had a tiny, stubby, triangular shaped bill that was straight and vertical at the base and showed no grinning patch. After observing it for awhile it decided to tuck in and take a snooze before I could get a picture showing its bill.
