Red-tailed Hawk in Scott County

Common in Scott County in the Fall season

I have been seeing this leucistic snow white Red-tailed hawk with black eyes in our area near New Market since early spring. It frequents dead trees along a trail where I ride my horse. I've been able to get within 15 feet of "Whitie" while on horseback, but it doesn't allow people on foot to get that close. Today it was in our yard and we got a photo from a distance. It's a magnificent bird!
