Common in St. Louis County in the Fall season

Formerly a rare migrant at Duluth and along the North Shore, American White Pelicans are now routinely seen at hawk watches in Duluth during spring and fall migration, and summer season sightings are also on the increase. This individual was found near the boat launch at the Park Point Recreation Area 7 September 2011.
