Five or fewer records in Anoka County for the Winter season
Continuing bird first reported by Herb Dingmann. The bird is a bright-winged adult with all the characteristic field marks: slender thrush with prominent white eye-ring, white outer tail feathers and tan stripes on wing feathers. The bird was seen at Mississippi West Regional Park in Ramsey, Anoka County. Follow the paved path downriver from either parking lot, and continue to where a wider gravel strip goes toward the river and ends at some large rocks. Follow the dirt trail to the right (upriver) for 50-100 feet where a small cedar tree leans precariously out over the river. That tree and others near it seem to be favored by this bird.
