Uncommon in St. Louis County in the Fall season

Black Scoter (right) with a Surf Scoter for comparison. These were part of a raft of ~150 ducks seen on the Bayside of Park Point, Duluth, near the bus turnaround area on Saturday afternoon. Surf Scoters were first reported here this season on 20 September by Aiden Saari. Since then, Michael Hendrickson has reported Surfs here several times. Kim Eckert first reported seeing a Black Scoter at this location on Friday.
