Occasional in Kanabec County in the Winter season

Adult bird found by Bob Williams and myself about 3/4 of a mile north of CR 83 on west side of CR 5. The bird was initially spotted feeding on an animal carcass in the field but then was observed flying into the treeline to the west where it perched for several minutes. Eventually some crows and ravens chased it northwest and out of sight. Photo extensively cropped.
