Common in Washington County in the Fall season

This evening there were approximately 2,000 Purple Martins gathered on the wires by the Water's Edge Community Center in Hugo. Before dusk they all flew south, presumably to roost for the night at Bald Eagle Lake. It was a remarkable sight!
