Buff-breasted Sandpiper in Waseca County

First record for Waseca County in the Summer season

One of several buff-breasted sandpipers John Hockema and I spotted in a recently cut hay field southwest of Waseca. Through the dense fog, we were able to count 12 birds. Others reported over 30 birds later in the morning after conditions improved.
