Common in Rice County in the Summer season

Koester Praire. As previously reported many Bobolinks, various sparrows (I did not see or hear a Henslow Sparrrow) and Dickcissels. A word of warning! While driving home (Scott County) I removed 11 tics from my neck and head. When cleaning my clothes at home the total count went to 34 tics mostly on my shirt. I was wearing a repellent mesh jacket but no other treated clothing. The waist high grass on the hillside trail to the top would seem to be the primary source.
