'Rare Regular' in Minnesota - First record for Lincoln County in the Fall season

John Hockema and I observed no fewer than a dozen Smith's longspurs feeding along a county road in Lake Benton Township. The birds were flushed by a passing vehicle; in that moment we enjoyed listening to their distinctive staccato rattle.
