Uncommon in Rice County in the Spring season

One of a pair foraging around the edges of Big Pond in the St. Olaf Natural Lands. The female was nearby. It appears that the pond is being drained down this year, so there is an extensive muddy edge. It looks good shorebirds, but there weren't any there at the time.
