Glaucous Gull in Washington County

Occasional in Washington County in the Winter season

I found this bird at Pt. Douglas Park at about 12:25 PM. About 30 minutes later, a Bald Eagle came in and flushed the Glaucous and ten Herring Gulls. Most of the birds flew south along the St. Croix River, and at least one gull flew up the Mississippi River toward Hastings. I checked the St. Croix River from Prescott and the Mississippi from Lock and Dam #2, but was unable to relocate any of the gulls.
