'Rare Regular' in Minnesota
One of a pair of Piping Plovers (Charadrius melodus) found along the Lake Superior shoreline at Park Point, Duluth, 2 May 2010. The birds were initially found by Peder Svingen in the late morning, just south of Sky Harbor Airport on Park Point. In the late afternoon, they were refound by Mike Hendrickson near the viewing platform just south of the Beach House at the Recreation Area.
